British Female Student Awarded Top Prize by Nobel Winners for Solar-Powered Fridge Invention.

Basically 23-year-old Emily Cummins perfected her design which I have seen and think I have posted before, where a farmer in Africa would use clay pots using the same basic principle of water evaporation in sand to keep his crop cool in areas where there is little or no electricity at all.

Cool idea, but in very hot areas, especially the dry Southwest of the US, the water would wick away so rapidly, you’d need to constantly replenish it, which would be unfeasable where water procurement was difficult.
