Our ever so helpful government has decided that your wood burning stove is now a danger to the world

In another attempt to outlaw the off grid lifestyle, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the same agency that was recently caught using drones to spy on Americans, is now going after home owners who use Wood Burning Stoves to heat their homes. I figured they would find a way to slither into the lives of those of us who have had enough of being controlled by city laws and government bullshit. Why can’t they just leave us alone?

no matter the source of heat to cook etc…it goes into the atmosphere…I would rather it be wood…just so they replace the trees.

  3. They should try banning wood burning stoves here lol, it would never work. Wood burners are the main way to heat homes and cook across the whole country.

I heat my home with fire wood like my grand parent’s did, because power lines go down and We still have to stay warm in the winter, So the EPA can go tell that to the big oil companies, who pipe lines leak oil all over our water supplies.

  7. Well the cost of heating any other way is so rediculous they need to back off this one… I would never give up my wood stove. They want to “wean ” us off oil well I have heated my whole house using my wood stove and have used less than an 1/4 to only 1/8 of a tank of oil each winter for the last five years…

  8. A story from afar! We live in New Zealand and for most of our lives in the city of Christchurch. Most recently Christchurch is known for ongoing earthquakes over the past 2/3 years. Prior to the earthquakes, we heated our home with a pallet fire. Following the initial two large earthquakes and more than10,000 after shocks, because of power outages we approached our council to re install a clean burning wood burner that was not dependent on electricity. Answer no we could not, because of environmental policy. When questioned if they ( the authority) could guarantee supply of electricity. Answer, they could not. Two years later an about face and the bylaw has even dropped to enable people to heat their homes. My advise don’t take it out.

Seriously?! Why doesn’t the EPA worry more about the “CAFOs”? They don’t seem to care about the air & people breathing when it comes to those!! I’ll never give up my wood heat. We only use Gaia’s fallen trees. ❤

  13. Let me see. Wood burning is carbon neutral, renewable, sustainable and doesn’t require electric.. Seems to me, it’s a whole lot cleaner than the local coal fired power plant.

The most evil government agency ever, The EPA operates completely above the law. They just have to claim you are a polluter and they can confiscate your property, close your business or even arrest you all without due process. The EPA needs to be shut down now!!!

This is the problem with the people of the US: they have lemming/sheep mentalities. Online petition. Riiiight. They really giveashit about your comfortable online petitions. The government of the USA needs to be shut down by the people of the USA, but the people don’t have the guts to take over their own government – the government where technically, they are supposed to be the boss and presidents, police and legislators are the employees. No. Its the exact opposite. They rule and control their slaves (you).
